Consign With Us

We make the consignment process simple and stress-free.

Our online auctions feature furniture, antiques, glassware, collectibles, artwork, rugs, home décor, and more. We accept items on consignment and also purchase collections and estates outright. If you're looking to sell, we'd love to hear from you.

How the Consignment Process Works

Step 1: Send Us Photos

Email photos of the items you'd like to consign to info@proctorauctions.com. Items do not need to be photographed individually. In your email, please include:

• Whether you have a specific timeline

• The location of the items or property

We'll review your submission and typically respond within a few business days.

Step 2: Consultation & Agreement

If your items are a good fit for our auctions, we'll discuss the details and prepare a consignment agreement. The agreement includes the inventory to be sold and the terms of the consignment. We will then schedule a pickup with our staff or arrange for you to drop off the items.

Step 3: Auction Preparation

Your items are stored until the appropriate auction. To maximize results, we organize auctions by category, such as:

• High-end

• Mid-grade / Everyday

• Cleanout / TLC

Some items may be photographed and listed right away if they fit an upcoming auction, while others may be held for 60–90 days until the best sale opportunity.

Step 4: Cataloging & Marketing

Each item is entered into our inventory system and assigned to your account. We professionally photograph, catalog, advertise, and sell your items through our online auction platform.

Step 5: Settlement

Within 15–30 days after the auction closes, you'll receive:

• A detailed settlement sheet

• An itemized list of sold items and realized prices

• Your payment by check

We'll ask you to countersign the settlement for our records.

That's it! We handle this process every day and work hard to make selling your items as seamless and convenient as possible.

Minimum Commission

• $150 per consignment

All items are sold without reserve.

We also purchase collections and estates outright. Contact us if you're interested in selling your collection directly instead of consigning.

Our Services

Whether you're selling an entire estate or just a few special pieces, we can tailor our services to fit your needs. We handle everything from whole-house buyouts and estate cleanouts to individual consignments.

We offer pickup service from homes, businesses, and storage units for qualifying consignments.

Drop-off consignments are accepted Monday through Friday during non-auction weeks by appointment only. Please contact us before bringing items to ensure they are a good fit for our upcoming auctions.

Items Typically Not Accepted

To maintain the quality of our auctions, we generally do not accept:

• Pressboard furniture

• Electronics

• Modern children's toys

• Mattresses

• Excessively worn, stained, or dirty items

• Faux flowers

• Clothing (except designer brands)

• Well-used outdoor grills

• Books (unless antique or collectible)

• Tube TVs or non-flat-screen televisions

• Damaged, broken, or incomplete items

• Towels, sheets, blinds, curtains, and drapes

• Garage chemicals, paint, and miscellaneous garage items

• Exercise equipment

• Dirty or greasy kitchen appliances

• Golf clubs

• Artificial Christmas trees and most modern holiday décor

• Rugs with pet odors

• Items from smoking households

• Most pianos

• Sleeper sofas

• Any item we determine is not suitable for resale based on our experience

Estate Cleanouts

During estate cleanouts, we may remove some of the items listed above as part of our agreed-upon services. However, these items will not be included in our auctions and will be handled separately according to the terms of your cleanout agreement.
