Interested in selling?

WWe do our best to make the process as easy as possible. Our online auctions focus on furniture, antiques, glassware, collectibles, artwork, rugs, and home decor.

Here's a quick step-by-step of the process:

  1. Email us pictures of the items that you are interested in consigning to info@proctorauctions.com. Items do not have to be photographed individually. In your email, please let us know if you are working within a specific timeframe and the location of the property. You should hear back from us within a few business days.
  2. After consultation we sign a contract, which includes the agreed upon list of inventory to be sold at auction and terms. We will set a date to have items picked up by our staff or have them dropped off by you.
  3. Items are stored until it is appropriate for them to be sold. We do our best to group auctions into different categories (high end, mid grade/everyday, and cleanout/TLC) in order to most efficiently and successfully market your items to the appropriate buyers. Items may come in and be photographed the next day if they fit in the current auction, or they may be stored 60-90 days until an appropiate auction is being photographed.
  4. We enter your items into our computerized inventory system and assign them to you, so a sales report is easily generated after the auction. Items are then photographed, advertised, and sold via online auction.
  5. Within 15-30 days after the completion of the auction, checks, an itemized list of items sold and prices realized, and a settlement sheet are sent to consignor for countersignature.

That's it!  We handle these cases on a daily basis, and do our best to make the process as seamless as possible.

For normal home goods/furniture/accessories we sell on the following commission schedule:

Drop off by consignor at our facility - 60/40 split (Consignor receiving 60%)

Pick up/moving by us - 50/50 split

All items are sold without reserve.

We can cater our services to your needs - from whole house buy outs to select consignments.

Items are typically handled on a commission only basis with no other fees. Exceptions include travel outside of our immediate service area, excessive cleaning, etc.

We can accomodate you by picking up items from your home, business, or storage. Drop off consignments accepted non auction weeks Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Please contact us before bringing items for consignment.

We specialize in furniture, antiques, crystal, sets of china, artwork, etc and are always on the look out for quality consignments and collections. We use the "auction standard" computer system to inventory and keep track of your items and we ensure that you receive timely payment after the auction.
